The Color App Lite - Color Palette Selection Tool 1.0

The Color App provides a platform for creating and organizing workspaces dedicated to exploring color combinations suitable for various projects. Users can draw using colors selected from multiple available color pickers, which are subsequently added to a dedicated color palette. The drawing interface supports zooming and panning, facilitating precision when working on detailed illustrations.

The application features several color pickers, each with distinct functionalities, complemented by a primary display that presents the current color's value in a user-selected system. Regardless of the picker used, this main display consistently shows accurate color information, supporting efficient color management.

Colors can be viewed across eight different formats: HSB Integer, HSB Decimal, RGB Integer, RGB Decimal, RGB Percent, Named HTML, Three-Digit Hex, and Six-Digit Hex. The six available pickers include:

• An HSB (hue, saturation, brightness) picker with three adjustable sliders.
• An RGB (red, green, blue) picker also equipped with three sliders.
• A Named HTML picker that displays only colors with predefined HTML/CSS names, utilizing RGB sliders.
• A Three-Digit Hex picker that limits color choices to those representable in hexadecimal form with three digits.
• A gradient-based picker enabling touch-based color selection.
• An image-based picker allowing users to import and select specific colors directly from an image.

Alpha transparency can be adjusted independently to refine drawing opacity. Drawn colors are saved in a side panel; double-clicking a color reveals related schemes such as triads, complementary, analogous, and split-complementary colors, which can be added to the workspace. Additionally, the app generates fixed-brightness and fixed-saturation color sets with pseudo-random hues derived from the selected color, offering further options for palette development.

Workspace colors can replace any of the twelve fixed palette slots, enabling users to maintain personalized color sets accessible across projects. The Duplicate function allows users to clone entire workspaces for experimentation without risk of data loss.

Sharing capabilities include exporting drawings or color sets as images or distributing the palette as a Color App file to collaborators. The image export function is ideal for sharing finalized palettes or artwork created within the app. The Color App file facilitates seamless collaboration on projects involving color selection and analysis.

This tool is particularly valuable for digital designers needing to identify harmonious color schemes and accurately view their color values in various systems.
